Where it started
At just twenty-seven, Dwayne Corbitt became one of the youngest executives, and the first African American, to negotiate a manufacturing partnership with officials of the Chinese government, at a time when foreign business relationships in China were still in their infancy.
Working in Guilin, China, he designed, developed and helped build a latex manufacturing facility that became one of the largest producers and distributors of latex products serving the United States government. Through Custom Services International (CSI), Inc., he created the Olympus® brand and established FDA-certified distribution operations in Nevada and California.
Following the successful divestiture of the company, he expanded into commercial real estate, manufacturing development and a range of entrepreneurial ventures.
